British Open Winners

Since the British Open has been held for 150 years, there is a long list of winners attached to this prestigious golf event.  Here are a few notable British Open winners:

Willie Park Senior, a Scottish golfer who was the first to win the British Open.  He won by two strokes against the favorite, Old Tom Morris.

Young Tom Morris, the British Open winner from 1868, 69, and 70.  He was the last golfer to receive the Champions belt, the original trophy that was retired in 1870.

Greg Norman, the British Open winner with the lowest absolute 72-hole score
